Oh well, let's do some detective work.

I am clueless about this little shop. I would highlight/ recommend/ alert/ endorse, ok any positive adjective.

Clues:

Yep, it has got everything that screams V~I~N~T~A~G~E. *Smiles happily*

A true blue vintage store. I am certain that this store had been on the mention on the magazines for some time ago.

Sadly, they had this sign says: No photography allowed.

Anyways, the owner/ sales person (I have no clue.) is very helpful (um, in fact, very patient!)

I need to relate experience. Well, Singapore's GEMs movement (I hope it actually works!)

This customer was looking for those Pan Am looking bags. (Remember? Which recently became popular again.) Oh well, he wanted one without logo. Um. The owner/ sales person brought some bags (quite a number of bags) to show him. Well, none was suitable. The customer mentioned that he only wanted it for that day. The customer gave up on finding it.

The owner/ sales person told him to come back if he needed his bags (A true sales pitch).

Next, it was our (it is me and X) turn that the owner/ sales person turned his attention too since the customer left. We were looking at those beautiful belts (ooh, he mentioned that it was the disco, fabulous 7o's) that I (since flat broke after I left work.) could not afford (in disgraced, bought a dress too).

The owner/ sales person asked for budget. "No budget 'cos flat broke", I mentioned cooingly. X seemed interested.

He showed us those belts that were at $2o. They are better looking than those vintage-inspired ones (they are the real thing!). Well, there was this store (on the fourth floor, I did not know the name of the store) trying to choke us with S$29 for a similar thing. We are certainly no fools.

X brought out her-just-bought-dress, trying to match the belt with that dress. The owner/ sales person brought out some belts for her to match.

It was between a safe brown and vintage~happy violet.

Being too safe, she opted for brown (duh!)

More importantly, we came out as two happy customers (one who spent and another who didn't) because the owner/ sales person understands his product and people who walked in.

Sometimes, we may not want to buy anything. But a happy/ friendly/ sympathetic owner/ sales person makes us (or me) wanting to go there again and finding something to buy. X bought something that made her day too.

Happy sleuthing! (It may make your day too.)

Note to owner (if you think that you are): Do you be so kind to email me of picutures of your great store? *Please?* Because there was the "No Photography Allowed" signage. I will post it here.

Postscript: Please, please tell me what is the name of the store that made my day. I love to have comments coming in. Or even know who are reading me.
